Sixense Revolutionary STEM System Platform In The Works

A pioneer in motion tracking and hardware as well as software, Sixense has announced it’s Kickstarter for the evolutionary motion tracking STEM System to launch on September 12! The STEM System already has a reputation that precedes it; its already been used to power the Razer Hydra PC gaming controller, the go to input device for VR application developers. It provides THE most intuitive and natural interface for virtual reality (VR),  gaming and other applications by capturing the user’s moves precisely at your desktop and in the living room.

STEM System advancements include:

  • A wireless, Modular form factor

  • Better tracking performance at all ranges

  • Longer range

  • Support up to five STEMs (wireless motion tracking modules)

  • Full position and orientation tracking of the entire body

The STEM Sytem is designed as  an  open platform  for software and hardware products and developers will have access to create content with almost no restrictions  and also the ability to embed STEMs to track their ownperipherals and wearable devices like head mounted displays.

“The STEM System is our first Sixense-branded hardware, and it embodies our vision of the ideal user interface for virtual worlds and digital media,” said Amir Rubin, co-founder of Sixense. “The funding and feedback we receive from the Kickstarter project will forge an essential partnership between Sixense and a community that has embraced emerging technologies in gaming and VR. By delivering STEM System developer kits to Kickstarter backers first, we will be able to make a much better consumer product than we could on our own.”
