As reported by HNGN, Nintendo has disclosed the release dates for the newest game in the Pokemon franchise: Pokemon GO. Set to appear on both the Android and iPhone platforms, Pokemon GO will use real- word maps that players will have to take advantage of to locate their desired Pokemon and interact with their surroundings in real time. Founder of Niantic, John Hanke, the company working alongside The Pokemon Company to develop Pokemon GO, showed excitement with Pokemon fans worldwide, being about to catch, trade and battle other trainers in real- world environments:
“For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO’ will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world.”
If you’ve seen the teaser trailers for Pokemon Go, you will have noticed a little Pokeball looking device that looks like this:
First revealed by Tsunekazu Ishihara, CEO of The Pokémon Company, this bluetooth enabled device dubbed Pokemon GO Plus, has a flashing LED light, located in the center and will alert you via vibration if a Pokemon is in your area. Although no price details have been confessed, one of the founders of Game Freak, Junichi Masuda, has divulged that there is so much more to Pokemon Go than meets the eye and he’s hoping that it will work hand-in-hand with future Pokemon titles– translation: it will be worth every penny.
