No Early Steam Machine Pre-Order For You: It’s Sold Out

If your inner procrastinator or cynic stopped you from springing for an early release pre-order for a Steam Machine, Steam Link or Steam Controller and you’ve decided to make a last minute dive into your game money stash, it’s too late– all of the early pre-order inventory is sold out. The good news is, you can still pre-order a Steam Machine on their website, you’ll just receive it on November 10th like everyone else. The second part to the good news is that you’ll be able to hear feedback from those that took the chance with an early pre-order, and figure out if it’s worth the starting price of $499.

I will never understand why someone would spend $499 on a system for Steam games to play on my television with a controller, when I can spend $14.99 on a long HDMI cord, hook it to my computer and use my Xbox Controller to play it on my TV, but again, with the early release pre-orders, I’ll be sure to see if it’s worth all the hype.
